South West Trains Desiros (Class 444 + 450)

Class 444:

Used on express passenger services, each five-car unit has a first-class section taking up just over half of one car at one end

Class 450:

Used for outer suburban services, the Class 450 was built with standard and first class accommodation

​

These trains replaced the slam door stock of Classes 411, 412, 421 and 423 which did not meet the modern health and safety standards, starting service in 2003, both maximising a speed of 100mph (161km/h)

Siemens "Desiro UK" also includes units of Classes 185, 350, 360, 380, and 450.
