Motherwell & Hamilton Heritage Railway

By Lord McCaskie

Version 1.0

The Hamilton Circle line has seen a rapid decline of income in past years, this has forced Network Rail to sell the line to preservationists, and so the Motherwell & Hamilton Heritage Railway was founded.

Removing the OHLE yet keeping the double track has been accomplished as well as replacing the horrible British Railway bus shelters with replicas of original Caledonian Railway station buildings.

Also included on the line is the Larkhall branch which was on the verge of having its track lifted by Network Rail due to the improvements in the local bus services.
